When you translate Excel spreadsheets, you will often see some cells with partially invisible text. This is because for some cells Excel does not expand row height to cell text automatically. Here is how you can make rows adjust their height to the contents automatically:
-
Excel 2007 or later: Choose Format -> AutoFit Row Height from Cells group on the Home tab:
Note: The command will not resize rows which contain at least one merge cell! Use Cell Resize Wizard to resize such rows quickly.
-
Excel 2003 or earlier: Choose Format -> Row -> Autofit to adjust the height of all selected rows so that they fit their cell contents.
Note: Excel's Autofit Row Height command will not resize rows which contain at least one merged cell. You have to resize such rows manually. To speed up this operation, use Cell Resize Wizard which will save you a lot of time and effort. Better yet, use Cell Resize Wizard instead of the above method to control how rows are resized in spreadsheets that contain more than simple text values.
