Document checking commands

Word

Category: Proof-reading

Did you ever have to spend an hour or so checking a completed translation and found text that had been somehow overlooked? Or worse still, you had a frustrating experience with your client who discovered that the document was not 100% translated?

The commands in this category provide a quick way to ensure that no text was left untranslated. They allow you to find some obvious "oversights" (such as text in headers/footers, comments, textboxes, etc., which is hidden in Normal/Draft view) before the document goes to a proof-reader or before you proof-read the document yourself.

Commands overview

Command Description Usage
Check Translation Checks a document or selection and highlights text written in the source language (i.e. potentially not translated). Use to find text accidentally skipped during translation
Find highlight Helps to navigate highlights in the document. Use to review the document after running 'Check Translation' command
Remove Highlight Removes all highlights of a specific colour from document/selection Use after you have reviewed the document/selection highlighted with Check Translation
