Word
Category: MiscellaneousBack to Special section

The command collects all graphical objects (e.g. pictures, schematics, etc) and embedded objects (Visio diagrams, Excel charts, MS Project schedules, PowerPoint slides, etc) from the current document and places them into a new Word document.

Options:

The following dialogue will be displayed when you run the command:

Screenshot: Collect Graphics dialogue

  1. Collect pictures / graphics: Check this option if you would like to collect graphical objects from the document. In most cases, such graphics need to be translated because they contain text. Leave this option unless you are looking for graphical objects of a particular type (e.g. Visio charts, etc).
  2. Collect embedded objects: If this option and its specific sub-options are checked, the command will collect embedded objects. For example, if you do not have Microsoft Visio on your machine, you can collect all embedded Visio charts into a new document and send it to another translator.

When the appropriate options have been selected, click Continue. To exit, click Cancel.

In the end, a new Word Document will open. It will contain all the graphical objects according to the selected options, with a page number to indicate where this object appears in the original document.
